沒錯，這就是List of Headings的標準長相。它要求考生為文章的每一個段落(除了作為Example的段落)，選擇一個能夠概括段落大意的標題，范圍是方框內以羅馬字母為選項的標題。這種題型對考生要求比較高，考察學生對段落大意的理解。再加上是亂序題目，沒有辦法像填空題一樣通過相鄰題目縮小范圍，因此學生出錯的幾率比較高。而且誤選之后往往錯的不是一個，而是一對兒……

Heading題的傳統解法是重點看首末句
然后在考官日益嚴苛的今天，首末句的方法已經不夠用了。舉個例子：
Global temperatures began to rise slowly after1850, with the beginning of the Modern Warm Period. Therewas a vast migration from Europe by land-hungry farmers and others, to whichthe famine caused by the Irish potato blight contributed......The Little IceAge has given way to a new climatic regime, marked by prolonged and steadywarming. At the same time, extreme weather events likeCategory 5 hurricanes are becoming more frequent.
在這個段落中，首句和末句分別標注成藍色，這個Heading題的答案是HumanImpact on Climate。然而Human這個概念在首末句當中根本沒有提及，考生無法根據首末句選出正確答案。因此可以看出，重點閱讀首末句的方法有其局限性，我們還有其他的輔助方法來幫助解題。
今天為大家介紹的是舉例前的中心句
為什么舉例前的句子是中心句呢?我們可以用中文來類比一下。大家看這樣一段文字。
吃瓜群眾A：“小紅的男朋友真帥!”
吃瓜群眾B：“哪里帥?”
吃瓜群眾A：“比如你看他個子高，發型酷，腿長.......”
大家稍作分析，不難發現，“比如”后面的“他個子高，發型酷，腿長.......”都是用來支撐中心句“小紅的男朋友真帥!”的。因此在尋找雅思閱讀的段落中心的時候，我們不妨來尋找舉例前的中心句。結合具體范例來看：

找到紅字標注的舉例詞之后，我們來看它前面的句子，句意是：實際上，McIntosh 和 Goeldner 在 1990 年說：旅游業在很多國家都已經成為了國際貿易的最大商品，在很多其他國家也成了第二、第三大商品。因此我們可以看出出旅游業對當今世界的重要性。而正確答案就是：Ⅶ. The world impact of tourism。我們通過舉例前的中心句找到了答案。
再來看一個例子：
There is an abundance of evidence to support the motivationalbenefits that result from carefully matching people to jobs. For example, if the job isrunning a small business or an autonomous unit within a larger business, highachievers should be sought. 在這個段落當中，舉例標志詞出現在了第二句，舉例前的句子恰好也是文章的首句，大意是：大量證據顯示，將員工和工種進行合理匹配能夠激發動力。由此可見員工和公眾匹配的重要性，與答案Ⅷ. Ensure employees are suited to their jobs表達的意思基本一致。并且在這個段落中，舉例前的中心句和首句重疊，我們也可以看出兩個技巧相輔相成，并不沖突，可以一起使用。
