關于加強IELTS考生身份認證的新舉措

IELTS已在全球4000余家院校機構得到廣泛認證，為進一步提高考試服務質量，并保護廣大考生和認證機構的切身利益，從2006年11月25日起，在絕大部分考點將試行考試當天現場拍照及拇指指紋采集。考生在自愿基礎上參加。

考試當天拍攝的照片將打印在考試成績單上，采集的拇指指紋將試用于考生口試前身份認證。

考生的照片和指紋將會根據中國及國際關于信息保護的法律規定嚴格保密，只用于與IELTS考試有關的事宜。

Notice on New IELTS Identity Verification Procedure

From 25 November 2006 a new system of taking photographs of candidates, together with a thumbprint matching system, will be piloted at designated test centres. Candidates’ participation is voluntary.

As IELTS gains ever wider recognition around the world (now more than 4000 receiving organisations) these enhancements reflect our commitment to efficiency benefiting all who value the test.

Test-day photographs will appear on the test report form; the thumbprint is being trialled for use on test days to confirm the identity of candidates when they return to the test venue for their speaking test.

Candidates’ photographs and prints will be used only for the purpose of the IELTS test and will be treated as highly confidential in accordance with Chinese and international data protection law.
